:: User Security and E-Mail Addresses
User security is one of our top priorities within this website. Your
user password is encrypted, and is safe from hackers. Also, no personal
information is displayed on your public profile unless you choose to show
things (your private e-mail--from registration--is different than your
public e-mail. Only your public e-mail, filled out later, is displayed in
your public profile).
AiChaos will not give out your e-mail address to any third party,
and we will not send out spam to our members' e-mail addresses. The only
e-mails you'll receive from AiChaos will be personal ones.
On your public profile, the AiChaos site will make your public
e-mail address to be displayed through a JavaScript, so spam e-mail
harvestor bots will not be allowed to take your e-mail address from this
site. Also, we will block all User Agents that are from e-mail harvestors,
and not allow them to even access our site.
:: Internet Protocol (IP) Addresses
Your IP address was logged when you first visited this site. They
are logged anonymously, however. We use IP addresses to get a basic idea
of how many users visit our site. Also, if you interact with the site in
any way (tag board, news comments, etc.) your IP address will again be
logged in association with your message. This is only for general security
purposes, and your IP address cannot be viewed by other members.
Your IP is logged with interactivity as a general security precaution.
For example, if somebody floods or spams the tag board, we can ban them (by
IP address) from interacting with this site, promoting the general welfare
of the rest of our members.
